Like no one else, Lifetime Sports is a complete service archery shop with the ability, capability and professional knowledge to service what they sell. Lifetime Sports at the corner of Hawthorne Drive and Barrydowne Road, professional archers helping people bow hunt for a lifetime.
It all started in 1978 when Andrea and Jim Dopson started to sell archery equipment out of their house. At that time the bushiness was operating under Notre Dame Sports. On January 14, 1983 they incorporated the business as Lifetime Sports Ltd. and later moved the shop at 1411 Hawthorne Dr. in Sudbury. The business ran until the fall of 2000 when Andrea decided to retire. Jim went on to volunteer his time twice a week at one of the local sporting goods store until the end of 2007.
Shortly after their son-law Roger Soucy reopened Lifetime Sports at 19 Grey St. in Sudbury. The business grew so quickly that this location became too small. A larger location became available and in July of 2011, Lifetime Sports returned to its original location at the corner of 1411 Hawthorne Dr., and Barrydowne in New Sudbury.
Lifetime Sports Ltd. services and repairs most makes and models of recurves, compound bows and crossbows.
Custom strings and cables are made on site with many different colour combinations available.
